Does it really matter? When that issue comes out, all people do is bitch that it's sponsor driven junk.

Times of Acadiana best of the best came out and it is unbelieveable what bad taste the voting public has and obviously not just in food.

I guess I was thinking about the other issue at the end of the year. Looks like the Best of 225 is coming out this week.

It is

In fact I even overheard some people from 225 Magazine talking with a restaurant owner saying that they won't do articles on his restaurant unless he agrees to purchase some advertising.

Holy Crap. Raising Cane's gets third place for "best late night dining" and second place for "best service." It's a drive through. That list comes off like a parody.

My wife and I seriously laughed at Canes being #2 in service.

And Chimes being #2 in late night food? WTF?

I will say Canes has the best service of any drive thru... They are always happy and nice n stuff. It's refreshing to have at a drive thru

And if the question had been "quickest drive through" you'd have a point. But when people talk about nice service at a restaurant they aren't talking about someone handing you a styrofoam container through a window.

Best BBQ - VooDoo

Sad...so sad. Ignorance is bliss I guess.

Raising Canes being voted 2nd best in service is why fine dining establishments in BR are few and far between. The expectations of most BR diners are screwed up.

Best Burger:

1. George's
2. Dearman's
3. Riverside Patty
4. Brewbachers

I don't think I've seen a single poster on here name one of those places as the best burger in BR.

quote:

SUPERIOR GRILL
Best Mexican/Latin

Superior is one of the worst Tex-Mex places to eat in BR. Even if you check out the restaurant review websites, almost everyone mentions the margaritas or ambiance, never the food.

shite like this is a reminder that the 225 Awards have no credibility.
