If he is truly a top 5 keeper, he didn't even come close to playing like it. How many big saves did he make the entire world cup? How many out of position or goals where he just stood there? He was to me the goat of the team.

the defense in front of him did him no favors... we struggled on defense for the entire tournament.

Watched every game. Tell me. The Tim Howard of qualifying was >>>>>>>>> than the version in this World Cup. He sucked. I guess every goal was just perfect, right?

A keeper is only as good as his backline defense. The US was pourous in that area.

Team would not have been in round 2 without Howard. He is the man. He had an off day plus the defenders had trouble getting in position which hurts too.

I agree out defense is the equivalent of Jason David and Fred Thomas back there, but he never gets a hand on these shots.

1st goal was his fault; 2nd goal was a great GREAT play by a striker

I agree that based on just the WC, he is not a top 5 keeper, but he had a poor tournament by his standards.
