So I'm officially hooked on Futbol. I never gave the sport much of a chance, and part of that is because I didn't understand it. I'm watching World Cup Matches like crazy... watching offensive strikes develop, and seeing how much effort it takes to break through and score a goal is addicting.

TL;DR:

Give me a MLS and Premier League Squad to pull for.

Where are you from?

I like Chelsea in the EPL

And since I'm from Ohio, I've decided to like the Columbus Crew

You need to just watch and pick one for yourself. Find out which team you really have that connection to. It'll come. As long as it isn't Chelsea or United I'm ok with it.

I'm a huge Liverpool fan because they remind me so much of LSU. Most loyal fanbase in the world, and notoriously crazy and loud. Their stadium, Anfield, is known as one of the hardest places to play in the world. Especially on Champions league night games (kind of like Sat night in Death Valley). Their fanbase is mostly working class and come from an area of the country considered backward. And finally, they're famous for their fight, grit, and hard working soccer. They have many famous come from behind victories. Some even legendary, like the Champions League final in 2005, considered by many to be the greatest European final ever played.

Things like this will jump out at you. Just be open to them.

And welcome about the train. Glad to have you aboard!

Honestly, finding a player to follow will help tremendously in adopting a team. 4 years ago I became a huge cristiano ronaldo fan. When i started watching the EPL I was trying to figure out which team I wanted to pull for and saw Ronaldo playing for Manchester United, been a fan since. I also have a soft spot in my heart for Reading, for some reason, but I'm not really sure why that is.

just watch the (EPL) matches for yourself, and you will figure out which team you like most on your own. best advice i can give.

Tottenham Hotspur for the EPL. Some really good players and a cool nickname. As a bonus you wont be included in the ManU Liverpool group of gays.

MLS - Sounders ... 35,000+ for every match; best atmosphere in the MLS ... I picked them because the were the expansion team when I first started following the MLS and my mom's family is from Washington.

EPL - Spurs ... I started watching EPL this season for the first time and like their attacking style and began to pull for them about a third of the way through the season. They were also able to pull out fourth place and a Champions League spot for next year.

Tottenham Hotspur FTW

I have no opinion on an MLS side, though I may jump on the Portland Timbers bandwagon here soon
