Soccer experts...who do we match up well against?
Posted on 6/23/10 at 11:27 am to Chicken
I'm hoping the Socceroos can somehow sneak into second.

Did we come out 1st or 2nd from our group?

Man winning the group was huge in that fashion. Now we face probably Serbia, then Uruguay. Only two players to worry about: Milos Krasic of Serbia, and Diego Forlan of Uruguay.
Tactically we got good matchups for both possible games. I like our chances to atleast win one more, maybe even shock Uruguay if we play the games of our lives and GOOCH gets fricking fit.
Keep the same lineup for today against Serbia, cept put Gooch back in for Bore-stein, and Boco goes back out wide.

How? Not complaining, just how?
ETA: Never mind, just read the recap.

England (1-0-2), which beat Slovenia moments earlier, also had five points but finished second because the U.S. scored four goals to two for the English.

I do not agree with this. Gooch has looked really bad this cup man. He's just not healthy. He's reacting slowly and leaving wide open lanes. I hate it too because he is a staple of our defense. But right now he's just not playing well enough for the start imho.

We are the underdog. Time to frick some African shite up. I hope we come out playing like this is the second leg of the WC 2006.

I'll leave the TV on, but I'm getting shite-arse drunk at The Bulldog like I did for England.

Do you have DVR?
I think this should be a tough challenge for the US, but we should win. Ghana has yet to score from play in the World Cup. We have looked better so far.
