Clemson wants to be LSU?

Did anybody else notice the weird shite that they were doing during the baseball game that was LSU-esque? The whole Death Valley fiasco is enough, but during the Bama-Clemson super regional game I saw two more to add to the list. They had an eatery called "Cajun Restaurant" at their baseball field, why I have no clue considering that there is NOTHING cajun about South Carolina. Second thing I saw was a "Go Tigers, Beat Bama" sign which has historically been one of our sayings during the Bama-LSU games. Anybody else see anything like this?

LSU WANTS TO BE LIKE CLEMSON THIS YEAR AND GO TO COLLEGE WORLD SERIES

There is a guy in clemson's athletic department from New Orleans. He followed bowden over there. He set up shop out there years ago and cooked just about every game. When they expanded kingsmore stadium they incorporated him in the deal. Quit nitpicking.

There's been a Death Valley sign for decades? Is that considered new?

No biggie. Now if it would have said "Geaux Tigers, Beat Bama," then I'd say it was suspicious..

The old sign said Deaf Valley.

There's never been a sign that said Deaf Valley. I saw my first LSU football game in 1958 and tons more since then, but it's only in the last few years that I've heard people try and say that it's supposed to be Deaf Valley. Deaf Valley just sounds dumb.

Thank God. How cliche' would that be?

And Clemson and Florida State will both make their usual trips up to Omaha and lose.
If you bet on the CWS this season, bet on any of the other 6.

I graduated in 1989 and during that time TS was known as Deaf Valley. The shell station that was outside the north gates was called Deaf Valley Shell.

Tony, I graduated in 1976 and never heard anyone refer to Tiger Stadium as Deaf Valley. I know what you mean about the Shell station, but I think he's just a bit misinformed. Makes for some interesting discussions though, doesn't it?

Among the notorious snakepits in college football, Notre Dame Stadium may be unique.
It isn't as noisy as LSU's Deaf Valley, where Mike the Tiger prowls the sidelines. And it isn't as hard for a visitor to win at as Tuscaloosa, where Alabama has won 56 in a row.
Nor is it even as hard as the Orange Bowl, where the University of Miami is 20-2 since 1978. But Notre Dame, which is 19-6 at home since '78, may be the only place where Divine Intervention is part of the playbook.
Take the 1980 game with Michigan, for instance. Throughout the game, a 20-mile-per-hour wind whistled in from the south. But just as Notre Dame's Harry Oliver lined up for a 51-yard field goal toward the south goal, the wind stopped. Oliver's kick sailed through the uprights as time expired and the Irish won, 29-27.

Imitation is the most sincere form of flattery. Louisiana has so much to be proud of....LSU Tigers, the best food, wonderful people - it's all great!
Take it as a supreme compliment.
and Go Tigers!
Take it as a supreme compliment.

at least they are in the south.........I was in vancouver, wa this evening and was walking to an appointment when I saw a bar that had Saints flags flying outside. The bar was called Fat Tuesdays and had an alligator hanging from the ceiling.
So I go in and ask the bartender what ties does the bar have to New Orleans. Was the owner from there or what. He says....."nope, we just thought we would open up a cajun bar and grill". Ok......

yes...I was actually thinking some of the same things. Strange and unoriginal....but I take it as a compliment.
