Am I the only one who clearly saw the ball hit the rim on the replays? My friends(of course Laker fans) were yelling and screaming at me saying I was blind. Who else thinks it was an easy call after seeing the replay?

eh, i'll assume it did but it could have just hit glass. the ball def started turning differently. i'd say it atleast nicked the iron.

I got chastised by the Lakers homers in the game thread last night for telling them it definitely hit the rim.

It did. You're not crazy. It also wasn't near the backboard when it changed directions initially. Unless Ray Ray put some super duper magic spin on that ball, its not hitting the backboard twice.

You're friends bitching were probably Lakers/Kobe fans, so I wouldn't take much what they say as close to reality.

it changes rotation after hitting the backboard. it did not hit the rim, he shot it too hard and hit glass. im not a lakers fan or a celtics fan. they showed one more angle thats not on that video that clearly shows it not hitting.

I thought the first two replays last night clearly showed the ball hitting the rim.

everyone of us in the game thread last night agreed it did not hit the rim when seeing it live except for 1 guy so i guess that makes us all blind. wait until you see more videos of this on the internet that shows every angle. ill post it here if i find them.

yes it hit the rim, the second angle from your youtube clip showed it change direction in a way the glass alone wouldn't do

doesn't matter now tho

I saw about five of them during the game. You could tell it hit on two.

I was rooting for the Celtics and hate the Lakers with a passion but I clearly saw that it hit the backboard and not the rim. Celtics were given a gift there.

How can you look at the video in the first post and come to that conclusion? The ball clearly changes trajectory and the spin on the ball changes after hitting the rim and before hitting the backboard.

So i guess the wind blew it so it'd change trajectory?
