What's going on here is A&M is calling Texas' bluff. They're saying "You want to stay in the Big XII? Fine, we'll stay." They're going to force Texas to run.

Typical posturing for the public and media. At the 11th hour A&M will be in the SEC and the remaining members of the Big XII will be left standing around with their d**ks in their hands wondering WTF just happened.

And they can all thank Texas and the Big-10 for starting this crap.

meh...that doesn't really say much. It just depends on what the offers from each conference really are.

it wont last... the Big 12-2, that is. That small confrence cant generate teh same revenue to compete with the other conferences.

This could be TAM calling Texas bluff...

Texas is not going to run.

Texas will only stay if it is convinced, which it already must be, that Beebe's surreal new revenue #s are legit. Texas will also get to have their own local network.

Texas gets everything it wants and still looks good politically......A&M looks to the world to have grabbed its ankles, again.

Your conference is now an even bigger joke than ever before and you guys will lose cred v's the SEC and Big 10.

You may get a little more $$$ but you lose more streed cred.

let me get this straight...

If TAM goes to the SEC, they ruined the Big 12.

If they stay, they "grabbed their ankles, again"?

sounds like a lose-lose proposition youre putting them in.

you should be licking every hairy TAM sack you come across if they save that pathetic conference so UT can be king of their ant hill.

It's all A&M's fault, even though Nebraska jumped the sinking ship first? UT really is delusional.

Take off the orange-tinted glasses. Texas is going to come out of this looking like a bully that finally realized they're not as big and bad as they thought they were. Nebraska already told you to go screw yourself, A&M's not rolling over like you thought they would.

At this point, NOTHING Texas does can be considered a win. You can either crawl to the Pac-1* and kiss the Longhorn Network Goodbye...OR stay in the Little 12-2 with the realization it's YOUR FAULT Nebraska and Colorado left.

I don't blame Texas for Colorado and Nebraska leaving. Colorado wanted into the PAC for a while and Nebraska made a smart personal decision

Most of what's going on is just programs making business decisions that most benefit them - with the exception of the crazy threats from Texas about not playing/blackballing other schools that dare to consider the same options Texas is considering
