If Texas stays in the Big12, what does the Pac10 do with Colorado?

Who else do they add?

If Texas stays, it would be hysterical if Kansas joined the Pac-10 anyway.

Utah
Utah and Colorado to the Pac-10 had been in the works for a long time and way before UT and the other Big-12 South schools were even considered an option. It became the backup plan when UT came into the fold

I don't see that happening. I think UT is just trying to force A&M to either follow them to the PAC 10, or look like the bad guy in the Big 12 dissolution since they are saying they are interested in staying in the Big 12.
It's a bunch of bologna. UT is headed to the PAC 10, IMO.

If Utah goes and the rest of the conference formally known a the Big 12 stay together this messes up the chances for the MWC to move up to BCS status.

This is fact.
Not that Utah is a done deal, but that this has been discussed and favored by many University admins for YEARS.

When the shite talkin' is factored out, that scenario makes the most sense....and why not? If roles were reversed A&M would be doing the same thing.
People who get their panties in a wad over the posturing by both TX schools shouldn't watch political ads because, god forbid, they might go negative on their opponent.

Bologna, heavily seasoned with politics

this scenario would be great... the PAC 10 would be doomed to eternal mediocrity, esp in the short term with USC outof the picture and reeling from a lack of schollys for several more years.

The Pac-10 is what it is. There's only 1 elite area in the conference currently for recruiting. Whoever dominates Southern California recruiting will have an elite team. The rest will always be average. It's just simple numbers

There's more than enough recruits in Cal to supply several premiere cfb teams
PAC suffers (compared to the SEC) mostly because they lack the same rabid fascination with the sport that teh SEC has.
If Cal had 75% of teh obsession that South Carolina did with football then they would be a top ten team most of the time
