LSU could have been 7-6 last year with a little more effort, MSU and LA Trch could have easily beaten LSU, they certainly outplayed the Tigers. Washington was not exactly a blow out either.
LSU was outplayed in most of the games they played, and that includes some of the cupcakes, but all that matters is the scoreboard to some. But to properly assess the team, you have to look at the whole product and it does give cause for worry.
I am not predicting doom and gloom but if the team plays like it did last year, 5 losses is certainly a possibility. If they improve A LOT, 19 wins is as well. But, that would be some improvement...

I love how the pessimist like to use the term "realistic".
What I love is how the positigers who are calling 7-5 a pessimistic and negative prediction now will be the same ones trying to justify it after the season as "realistic".

wrong...and thanks for proving my point. You've already conceded this season to a 7-5 outcome.

So then you are saying you won't do again in 2010 what you already did in 2008?

2 completely different seasons....and i never said 7-5 was a realistic expectation after 2008.

Blank stare... kind of hard to have expectations for an event that has already taken place.

How is conceding and predicting the same? I predict 8-4 preseason, I certainly don't concede that it will be the case.

He's saying that i said after the season that 7-5 was a realistic expectation to have prior to the season to justify the shitty play....which i never said....so you can go ahead and take your "boom" back.

Nuts doesn't make predictions....he states things as if they are fact. He is the great seer of all that is LSU football.
Ex. LSU will never beat bama and UF again as long as Miles is here.
Is that realistic or pessimistic....you tell me. I mean...look at his f'n sig quote for Christs sake.

But you have defended going 7-5 and 8-8 repeatedly so the boom stays.

no i haven't....i just have a different opinion on WHY we did. Ya'll blame everything on Miles...i see things more rationally. Ive never said those records were acceptable. Admittedly...i have defended 9-4 though.

I got 9-3 to 10-2.
Phil Steele has LSU's schedule ranked as #10 in the country BTW. Toughest goes to Iowa St then South Carolina at #2. No other SEC schools are mentioned in the top 10 besides LSU and USCe.
