RE The PacX
A&M is out, Utah is in. Monday could be huge.

Makes sense for both teams.

1) Texas A&M joins a more natural fit.
2) Utah finally loses the small conference stigma (will probably end badly for the Utes, though)

Looks like Chip Brown was right from what I reported this morning on what I saw on Orangebloods.com this morning.

I just don't think the mormon church is going to be pleased that much. I know their alumni will probably like the move, but I wonder how they feel about having to give up their rivarly with BYU.

Why would they have to do that?

As a Ute and a Tiger, I can tell you that they probably won't be doing away with the rivalry. They'll figure a way to make it work. U of Utah doesn't care too much what the moron church thinks, that would be BYU. And for the most part, Utah fans feel this is the ultimate victory over BYU: to be the first to join a major conference. They will never let BYU live that down. frick BYU.

UF plays FSU every year.

LSU and Tulane played every year for a long while. . .until we realized it did more for them, than for us.

I still think that the Pac-10 goes for Kansas over Utah, but I would be fine with Utah.

Kansas would bring instant legitimacy to the Pac's basketball tradition.

Utah >>> Kansas. PAC-duh has made that clear. I think it is down to just A&M and Utah. And with this Utah rumor, this gives more credence to A&M confirming with the SEC today.
