Assuming all this goes down and they get more teams.

Not sure how it will work but heard they are trying to get two automatics to the BCS.

By default they have to IMHO...

they are still saying no
that they are against conf championship and think that the regular season winner from both divisions should get automatic bcs births

Man thats bs!I hate this auto bid stuff for the better of the conferences.

Then how will they decide who goes to their precious rose bowl? I'm pretty sure with 16 teams you can have several finish tied for #1 with the same record.

If it's all about the $$$, then they would have to be exploring that option.
Plus, with a twelve team schedule, you aren't even going to come close to a complete round robin, so you need some way of establishing a championship game.

It's still not clear. It depends on how BCS berths end up getting passed out
If they do, I'm sure it would rotate between Dallas and the Rose Bowl though. It's too bad UNLV's stadium sucks because a Pac-16 title game in Vegas every year would be badass

They are still avoiding this. They will have two 8 team divisions. The PAC-16 will fight to have the winners of the two divisions both get automatic BCS bids (one of the bids being the Big 12's old spot). This is all rumored.
Like said before this will, with out a doubt, cause problems with two teams wanting to go to the rose bowl.

they'll want one to the Rose Bowl and one to the MNCG.
like the SEC does with Sugar/NCG

Wonder how an SEC expansion would effect this. If we expand it would limit the ability of the Pac to gain that additional BCS automatic.

Well I am sure if one team goes to the NCG then the PAC-16 will still want the two other automatic bids; just as any major conf. wants now.
I would like to think if UT and A&M came to the SEC this would put a halt to the PAC-16 getting the current Big 12's BCS bid.

doesn't sound like it would change much. Kind of like two small conferences under one banner. No CCG, just the two "divisional champs" getting a BCS bid.

pretty different from the SEC tho - we have a habit of sending the runner up to our fifth best bowl tie in

That also means two pieces of the BCS money-pie. That does not sit so well with other conferences that have a championship game.

True. Just sounds like the B12 lost NU, shed its lesser participants and agreed to let its Texas and Okie schools fight it out for the Fiesta. Don't think it will change a lot.

Money is the difference. The PAC-# will be getting twice as much as the SEC.

That's retarded. Why even be in the same conference if you can't have a conference champ every year.

It would be beyond crazy to award to bids to the east and west reg season champs.
