Pretty bad idea for them. I mean if you dont trust your #2 to beat Kent State how can you turst him to beat LSU/Irvine?

Kendall Rogers also reported something that wasn't true, I don't remember what it was.

i'll be shocked, but even if it's true is Bauer really much of a step down?

Bauer has a lower ERA, same # of wins, SLIGHTLY higher WHIP, and the same # of K's in only 5 more innings pitched....with better control.

It could be the exact opposite of the distrust you are referencing. It could be an issue of having complete trust in their #2 with the intent of having Cole available on Sunday after a short outing on Fri.

exactly.

Bauer is not just a normal #2 college pitcher. He is a stud.

oh i know, but it seems like historically we have hit those guys better than the guys that are a little smaller with good control and great competitiveness....that describes Bauer to a tee.

That leaves Claypool, Rasmussen or Bauer to pitch on Saturday.

K.S.U!!! Go Flashes! Kent State is always a scary team in the NCAA tourny. This is a school that is always in the NCAA tourny. We have been one of the very few Northern schools that has consistently been a quality program over the last couple of decades. Sooner or later, they are going to pick somebody off.

Why don't they start with the Bruins?
