Dean goes from All-Sec and All-American honors to nothing senior year. Shouldn't have come back. But Mikie definitely got snubbed here

No, if it was last season. But what made him stand out defensively this season? He threw out 15% of the basestealers.

Yes and no. His throwing out runners successfully was putrid.
He calls his own game, however, and is good with the dirt pitches.
I suppose he deserves it. Many times, it's the pitcher's horrible delivery from the stretch that prevents catchers from being 33-50 percent in base stealing throw outs.

There wasn't a better defensive catcher than Gibbs in the SEC even though he didn't have his best stuff.
