I actually read an article on this and It said that Boise State was grandfathered in with the blue Turf and the NCAA stated that no other school or team can have any other color than green for turf!

Not sure where you read that. Eastern Washington is putting in red field turf for this year. And the University of New Haven in Connecticut has blue turf as well, added a few years back.

Wow, you read that article on April Fool's day too?

Good thing you looked into the NCAA rules on colored turf.

This whole concert in TS thing is a joke, IMO.

Anybody know how LSU plans to spend the proceeds from it? It should go straight into maintenance and renovations projects for the stadium.

more people can fit in ts. tailgating will be better at ts than the dome. and it has to be outside so chesney can have a reason to be sleeveless.

The grass looks like that every offseason. Take your whining somewhere else.

And the field has been dog shite the past few years. Grass should never look like that. Even if it's green come August there's no way it will be a tough turf. The grass will only be rooting for 3 months. The field has been one of the biggest failures ever since they tore it up to put the new drainage in.

Nike fooled you all. That's the new Nike Pro Combat "Camo" turf.

Really, the turf SHOULDN'T look like this in the off season, at least not during the spring and summer. Go to any school in the S.E.C. right now and you will not see turf on their football field that looks like this. (Ole Miss and R-Kansas excluded) I guess it's not that important, just as long as the field looks good in September. The TS turf DID look pretty good and held up last season for the first time in many years though.
