Citronelle is wonderful. I love Michele Richard and he puts together some really fun food that looks beautiful and tastes great too. He is a rare bird in that he began as a pastry chef. He's got mad skills and does some cool dishes.

Blue Duck Tavern is also very good, I've eaten there a few times, but it's been a few years.

Old Ebbit is solid pub food, but I don't know if I'd make it there given some of your other choices.

I've not been to any of his places, but if I were going to DC I would try to go to any of Jose' Andres' restaurants, a few of which you've listed.

Let us know where you go and how they are. Have a good time!

I was hoping you would respond...

Its my gf first time there since aq 72 hour trip in 7th grade...so really her first visit (only reason I am considering Old Ebbit...I am not a huge fan).

We are both into art so I have a feeling many of our days will be spent hovering around art museums all day.

Blue Duck gets great reviews...and any other places you have been are greatly appreciated as well.

I was strongly considering citronelle for our blowout meal....In at Little Washington is too far for this trip...though I would have loved to bring her there.
