Why is everyone so mad at lost

Just finish watching it and I was dissapointed because it seemed like the whole show was to protect a light in a tunnel but I'm not understanding all the hatred going on everywhere. Around the horn even mentioned how shitty last nights episode was. Can I get a synopsis of what's making everyone so angry.
I wasn't getting all hype like everyone else for the finale because I knew it couldn't live up to everyone's expectations

the 70 pages of bitching weren't enough for you?

This close to the series finally that episode had no place being aired when it was.

The camp is split, what used to be two groups is now three.
A) Those who are in it for the ride, these guys are ok. Totally chill with whats going on.
B) Those who love Lost but are searching for answers, and the show just isn't providing it. Definitely your most angry people.
C) Those who were jaded early on, and have either watched the show sporadically or given up completely. They are just saying "I told you so" to the first two groups, exacerbating the anger.
Oh and there's a 4th group
D) People who bitch and complain about story structure and narrative cohesiveness. The other three groups just nod and say, "uh huh." I have no idea who these people are.

I think I use to be B but now I'm more like an A
thats way to many groups for one tv show

E) Those that don't get too deep into the back story and love the island action only to see them rip shite apart in regards to the island action. I watched the show loving the island scenes and tolerated the flashes because they added to what was going on the island, but could have been condensed to half of what they were.
They are trying to cram too much shite in too few shows, but what they are cramming like the flashes are longer than needed.

Basically, I think it boils down to the producers having to explain things outside of airtime, through interviews and podcasts (which I don't read/listen). Imagine if Lynch was explaining Twin Peaks after each episode. People would be just as mad. If you can't use one medium to tell your story then it's not as great as you, or the audiance, think it is.

people are always gonna complain... if we don't have that episode then people are mad.
people are mad because they didn't like what it was or where it was placed.
fact of the matter is... no one to my recollection at TD is a hollywood writer.

Writers don't make shite if not for the fans, chew on that.

This is probably the wrong place, but I didn't want to go into a 60 page thread. When the "mother" looked at MIB after he stabbed her, didn't it sound like she said "Jose."?
I watched it with close captioning and it said something like, "unclear disgruntling" or something stupid like that. Anyone else pick something up?

I don't believe that for one minute. People were loving this season and where it was heading and this episode was just a slap in the face

Ben told Juliet she had all the classics on CD, yet Vinyl is all you hear.

i was 100% positive she said "thank you"
its funny, most of the complaining is about not getting answers or not liking the answers. i don't have many questions left. and i think some of the answers have been more than enough.

At first I was mad that we didn't learn of the ancient civilization, but as I started to think it through, I saw that this was the least of the episodes problems. The characters motives from that episode no longer make sense and does a huge disservice to the series as a whole.

I thought it was a good episode. I saw the semi-meltdown as a sort of amusement, like the Score Board/Rant after a football loss.

This is exactly the equivalent. This is like LSU losing to Tulane. We've had crappy episodes before, but those episodes are usually expected in advance.
