Well didn't he say that McCarthy was his main recruiter and that no one from the LSU staff has talked with him since McCarthy left?

he's not very impressive anyway, not the answer at QB down the road anyway, imo. Wouldn't surprise me if LSU started going in another direction

I think he is pretty impressive, but he isn't the direction I want us taking at QB for the next few years.

I'll be interested in Teddy B's recruitment now that Williams is a longshot at best.

it's not that he is a bad QB, it's just that his throwing motion (old and new) is a bit unorthodox, and he has no touch. Everything comes in at 100 mph. If LSU is scouring the country for a QB, they could do better.

IMO LSU should have jumped on Kiehl Frazier a lot sooner. Location could have been a solid sell.

Confederate Tiger is going to come in here blowing his Justin Worley horn real soon. If Marquise isn't good enough than Worley is nowhere close to good enough

Where is he from? I wouldn't be too upset if he's not regional imo.

Williams has a pay article saying that we aren't pushing for him.If we push he's ours as long as Miami doesn't offer.Obviously we like someone better now.My guess(nothing but recent articles with them telling how much our coaches like them)is Jacoby Brissett and Brett Hundley.Brissett is a risk because he wants to play basketball.I like him though.

Just a little bit on Kiehl Frazier, not saying LSU doesnt have a chance, but it's going to be very hard for anyone to pull him out of the state of Arkansas.

Mallard Creek (Charlotte, N.C.)

here is what an ESPN Rise writer had to say about him:
quote:

Marquise Williams from Mallard Creek (Charlotte, N.C.) and Lafante Thourogood of Ocean Lakes (Virginia Beach, Va.) are pure shotgun quarterbacks who struggled to find their comfort zones. Each player had their moments and are impressive athletes with strong arms, though they need work on refining the rest of their game.

THis info. conflicts with what ESPN is reporting.

ESPN has a story up from this morning saying his top 5 is this:

Notre Dame, Michigan, V-Tech, LSU & UNC

I only remember you Confederate because your annoying and have to be a relative of Worley's since you are the only one who really plugs him.

Anyways, Williams told Irish Sports Daily that his top FIVE schools are Michigan, Virginia Tech, LSU, North Carolina and Notre Dame. This was posted about an hour ago on ESPN's Insider, so it remains to be seen which one is telling the truth

Also contradicts 2 other articles released around the same time on Scout. Don't think he narrowed it down to 3 yet.
