Why is Obama sending SWAT teams to all of the rigs in the Gulf?

Does anyone know? Ady why would he choose SWAT over the military? Something seems fishy IMO.

It is a team of inspectors from the Dept of the Interior. Minerals Managment Service. They are the government body over the Offshore oil and gas operations. They are going out for safety and equipment compliance checks. Its common. They make visits all of the time. They normally have schedules where they go out periodically and check them. This time they will make visits to all of the rigs.

Folks, the Dept of Interior is sending SWOT teams to evaluate the situation. Not SWAT. SWOT, according to their website, is the process of evaluating a situation according to one's Strengths & Weaknesses, and the Opportunities & Threats presented by that situation.

People like Rush should be shot for spreading this bull shite while having no clue what they are talking about. Between this and the WSJ article about accoustic BOP equipment that Brazil supposedly requires on their rigs, we have a nation full of clueless fcking experts out there now.
