I was just looking at it, and we had awsome picks. I hope this years draft will seem this good in 4 years. People may call Reggie a bust, but it doesn't matter because the other picks evened it out.
1 2(2) Reggie Bush RB USC
2 11(43) Roman Harper S Alabama
4 11(108) Jahri Evans OG Bloomsburg
5 2(135) Rob Ninkovich DE Purdue
6 2(171) Mike Hass WR Oregon State
6 5(174) Bernard (Josh) Lay CB Pittsburgh
7 2(210) Zach Strief T Northwestern
7 44(252) Marques Colston WR Hofstra

I remember being pumped about that pick because he had that great year at OSU and won the Bilitnikoff if I remember correctly.

I think he had 3 straight 1000 yard seasons too

I think 5 of 8 are still on the team
Lay, Hass, and Nink are gone.
Still a good draft

Yea I remember at the mini-camp Hass did really well and Colston struggled. People were losing their mind when we kept Colston and cut Hass. Thank god for Peyton's evaluation skills

anyone who calls Bush a bust is a fricking moron who doesn't know shite about football.

he ain't a bust, but he hasn't lived up to overall # 2 pick either.
Overall the 2006 draft was stacked, one of the deeper drafts in some time.

That's what I thought too. That is why it was so easy to trade Stallworth

when you can get 5 starters out of a draft (Strief on and off starter) i say thats a pretty good deal

Reggie a bust? He was an overhyped player that has still performed well on the NFL stage.
That's not a bust.

Jahri and Colsten led Payton to go grab other small school studs like Usama, Andy Alleman and David Jones!

those hits and misses were well worth it. those two dudes are absolutely franchise studs.
i think payton/loomis worst pick was trading up in the 4th round i believe for antonio pittman.. but then we made up for it by signing pierre as an undrafted free agent that same draft yr.
