i can't stand this board on draft day...actually, i take that back, i love it because you see all the idiots coming out of the wood works bitching about picks...
take Thomas Morestead for example...last year, people were absolutely ripping the FO for trading up and taking a punter...
after last season, i doubt you'd hear anyone say that was a bad move.

Sorry to go against the grain, but I was very seriously hoping that we would draft a QB in the last three rounds. I don't think we could win any games with Chase Daniel.
And to all those who say that if Drew goes down it's hopeless anyway, I agree. We don't need a backup QB so that we can still repeat as Super Bowl champions if we lose Drew Brees for the season. What we do need is someone who gives us a fighting chance to win a couple of games if Drew gets a high ankle sprain in week 3 and is out for 5 games. I don't know if Sean Canfield is that guy, but we needed to draft someone to see if he can be that guy.

Chill out clowns. If you take the best avaie, it is very possible you get to trade them at a time when other teams are sceraming for qb help.
The new wave in this league is to draft the best and trade them and accumulate a bunch of picks next year when you really need them.
Look at the Pats.
