I bought some from Tony's yesterday, $2.49, huge, paper thin shells were easy to peel and spiced just right. I have been getting from LA Boilers on Perkins, I think the ones from Tony's were a little better, by a hair.

Sammys hands down
You've got to be kidding me. Based on your pick you must either be from:
1. The North
2. Baton Rouge.
Sammy's is ok, but FAR from the BEST.
My vote is for Tony's

has anyone else had la boilers? ive been wanting to check this place out.

I am not saying these are the best, but last time I went to brightside bar and grill they had some very very good crawfish. Much more seasoned and spicier than Sammys.
Tonys is probably up there as well.

You won't go wrong with Off the Hook on Airine, City Cafe (Southside Market) on Perkins or Randy Montalbano on Florida.

As I said in the above post, LA Boilers is very good, Tony's may be a hair better. They were 2.79 last Friday, Tony was 2.49 yesterday.

I had some of the best I've ever eaten at Crawdaddy's on Govt and Foster. I got some to go bc i was feeling lazy and didnt want to cook, but they are now my goto place for crawfish

I haven't been in BR much during crawfish season this year, but last year I went to Crawdaddy's on Government almost once a week. Their crawfish were a little more expensive there but they almost always had good size crawfish and they were always seasoned perfectly - better than any other place I've been. They claim that they only buy select crawfish.
FYI it is a to-go place, not a sit down place.

cost?
I paid 25 bucks for 8 lbs, corn and potatoes. Great size, spiced perfectly. I'm a crawfish snob
