I can accept thinking for the future, however why would the current coaching staff recruit players for the coaching staff that potentially replaces them??
The assistant coaches wouldn't, of course, but I'm hoping that Coach Miles will still be here in 5 years and, as Head Coach, is guiding his recruiters toward the pro-style offense again. I realize it's a lot of conjecture and wishful thinking, but that's just what I'm hoping for.

Here's a question: If Kiehl Frazier commits to Ar-Kansas, do you think it puts pro-style QB Brandon Allen (6'2" 214 lbs.) back in the recruiting picture? I know he liked us a lot earlier....

Who is better: Marquise Williams or Terry Bridgwater?
Posted on 4/20/10 at 7:15 pm to south bama tiger
Honestly,I'd take Williams based on QB skills right now but Bridgewater is the better all around player and has the "it"factor.Vince Young qualities in that kid.I don't mention him much because i feel that there's no way he gets out of Miami.Shannon might get fired if he loses Bridgewater.Half joking but he would get killed by the locals for missing on a 5* Miami Northwestern kid.

It will be tough to land any of them since they are all BAMA LOCKS according to Gump fans.
When did this happen?
FWIW, Alabama will only be signing one QB, and he ain't on that list.

LSU needs arm and speed, dual-threat guys
I think Crowton likes to utilize the athleticism of the guys he has right now because they are athletic, but if Oliver came in I dont think he would have him running to much. Thats why I dont think its that important to get a dual threat guy. If Oliver came in I think the offense would be much like it was when JaMarcus was here.
BTW, I saw the film on Frazier, and he looked good. Did anyone else see that throw he made off balance from like the 50 yard line and still made it to the back of the endzone? Guy has a cannon.

If the O-line doesnt improve any quarterback will be running around.
I wish we would go harder after Lemay, he's my favorite on the list. I will admit i havent seen Bridgewater though.

In that case, I think I'd rather have Williams. Bridgewater may be the next Vince Young, but I'd rather have a QB that can run than a great athlete that can be QB. Ryan Perrilloux was a QB that could run. He was what a duel-threat QB was supposed to be. Wished he could have been a little bit smarter off the field.

Really? Which one of our QB's do you consider to be athletic, because none of them run the option that well which he will not let go of. I mean he forced Hatch to run it and he looked aweful. JJ looks like he's running the option in high heels, yet he keeps calling it...and usually to the short side of the field.

Worley is definately coming for a visit.
Here's what he told a Tennesee writer:

Worley said LSU, North Carolina and Alabama also have stood out.

Worley’s recruiting is in high gear. After throwing for 4,300 yards and 42 touchdowns last fall, he has at least 15 scholarship offers. The most notables are from UT, Florida, North Carolina, LSU, Notre Dame, Penn State, East Carolina and Stanford.

Zack is just too slow and not athletic enough right now and we need to see how tough he is next year, when he may not have the talent around him he had last year.
