Switching positions isn't impossible. Antwaan Randle El has done OK switching positions. Matt Jones would have done well if he'd stayed sober. I'm sure there are other examples.
Hines Ward probably is the best example. Tebow probably is not as fast as Ward was coming out, but it's been done.

Tebow's strength is his competitiveness. He does not have any particular physical skill that is outstanding, but he can probably do a few things above average.

That said, I don't want the Saints to draft him, and they won't as long as Payton is calling the shots. Tebow simply does not fit in -- as a QB -- with what he wants to do with the ball.

maybe so, but Dallas Clark was the best TE in the country coming out of college and was 1st team all-american. Tebow has never played TE.

This will never happen, because the front office isn't a bunch of idiots

If you want a competitve uprite running never ran a route guy then he's your guy.

Also will be a prime canidate for the study of concussions in the NFL.

I think Tim Tebow could be most successful with an organization like the Carolina Panthers run team with John Fox as head coach as quarterback IMHO. Something also tells me to keep an eye on them vikings... they always like to make draft headlines and do something quirky.

Charles Davis' guess on who the Saints pick is just as good sa anyone elses. The fact is nobody knows who they'll pick. Freaking out about a guy from NFL.com's prediction is pretty stupid IMO.

I actually could see taking Tebow w/ the Saints' 2d round pick ... no way the first.

Who knows, but he just doesn't seem to be an NFL QB. If he had come out from the get-go and said he'd play TE or FB, he actually might be worth a low to mid-2d round pick.

Can you imagine Shickey and Tebow hitting the clubs?

Tebow would more likely be with the guys on Bourbon telling everyone they are going to hell.
