It's Delatte's job, he won it in the fall, they did their experimenting and he shouldn't have to look over his shoulder per Manierri

I like Delatte defensively more than Didier... Cant say anything about Dozar because I havn't seen him play over there this year. IMO none of them has the edge over another at the plate so it has to come down to defense.

last year landry won it in the fall but when he couldn't hit he was benched.hitting in the fall and and real games is two defferent things, dozar may be the best hitter but don't know about his fielding.

Beau started a couple games over there. He had multiple errors each game. He can't field well, nor can he make the throw the first very well. Dozar started there and also made several errors throwing the ball to first. 3rd base in a position where you can bat .090 and still start if you play defense. It's also a base where you can bat .300 and not start because of defense. Many 3rd basemen in the majors are the worst hitters on a team. Shamefully, we do not seem to have a true 3rd basemen on the team. I think a great 3rd basemen and a catcher will be the key to next years recruiting class. Since if dozar cant throw from 3rd to first, he will struggle catching after gibbs because its the same from home to second.

Dozar appeared to be throwing the ball lazily. When warming up or having to make a difficult play, he threw the ball well with good accuracy and velocity. When fielding routine balls during the game, he took all of the power off of his throws thus causing them to sail off target.

I don't know if this is because he was playing without motivation or if he just is not accustomed to playing that position. It was very aggravating to watch.

Delatte is a much better defensive 3rd baseman than any of the other options. We don't neeed him to bat .400. We have lots of other offensive weapons. If Delatte is in the Friday Kansas game and goes 0-4 with no errors, we win the game.

Defense is much more important at third than hitting... What did Helenihi hit last year; espically in the CWS? But he flashed leather every time the ball was hit his way. We need defense at third not offense
