Bring it down a notch here guys.
I think that Cash's point was that there is asymmetrical information fed to us. He's not saying that no one is committed, but if you want proof that kids without committable offers commit to schools, go find the video about the loser who faked his commitment to Cal.

Kevin Hart. And why do I know his name? Because it was national news! And why was it news? Because it rarely happens. A kid can get away with embellishing the truth a little on his list of offers, but if he "accepts" a non-existant offer, it seems like it would immediately bite him on the arse. Just like it did Kevin Hart.
I pisses me off that people still insist that Bates was never offered by LSU. This is complete and utter bullshite, not "asymmetrical information" as you so eloquently put it.

There is also the soap opera that was Storm Johnson's commitment with or with out an offer that no one is still certain exactly what went down.
There are different kinds of offers. No one on this board knows what was said by the LSU staff to Bates before or after his commitment.
No one here knows if Bates and his family are upset or feel lied too by what transpired.
