So the question I have is how this effects M. Johnson at St Paul's

Go to Scout.com and you will see in the 2010 commitments he is listed between Evan Washington and Zach Lee. I just looked it up and he is still shown as a commitment. All that I listed had him on their list of commitments.
I know scout have him listed, but you said LSU listed him as a LSU commitment. Where did you see that LSU listed him as a LSU commitment, which by the way is the only thing that matters.

what's sad is tha we lost a potential cornerstone for our defense for the next 3 to 4 years. houston bates was ready to lead the lsu defense back to glory. sad day for everyone involved.
This is good shite.

Could we survive without that pipeline? It'd be like losing our in to Country Day in hoops.

Would be worst than when Archer concentrated on Houston and lost the entire city of New Orleans, imo.

a 6 page thread about Houston fricking Bates? Really?
cliffnotes?

On Sept. 8, 2009 Tigerports Digest was in Covington to film LSU commitment Houston Bates.
Article by Scott Hotard(Advocate)1/31/2010
He was like a ghost. I tried my best, but I just couldn't seem to wrap him up. I have never seen a guy that elusive in my life, St. Paul defensive end Houston Bates, an LSU commitment told the St. Tammany News following a 2009 playoff game.
Reville
St. Paul's defensive end, Houston Bates, an LSU commitment agreed to become the Class of 2010 lone greyshirt, meaning he will have to sit out a season and join the Class of 2011.
He was on LSU's official and original list of commitments.

Once again, Link?
TSD, Tigerbait, the Reville, the Advocate, ESPN, Lynx, and the sweet old retired butcher have no idea what LSU's board looks like. If a player and or his coach say he is a commitment then the services usually put it up as a commitment. They have no idea what if anything was acutally offered.
LSU can't pubilically comment on a prospect until they have a signed LOI on hand.

Cash, who is the guy in your sig pic? He looks familiar.

A friend of mine from New Jersey, Thomas Perna. He is kind of messed up right now and involved in an outlaw motorcycle gang.

Not who I was thinking of, but an interesting story nonetheless.

So based on your argument, we should view the "commitments" of La'el Collins, Freak Johnson and Jarvis Landry with suspicion, correct? Since LSU can't comment on recruits until they have a LOI in hand, are you telling us we should assume that none of these kids have actually been offered by LSU and are prematurely committing to non-existent offers?

Yeah, that is exactly what I am telling you you freaking tard. The rant is one board up for future reference.

Shay Hicks will soon regret calling Mrs Perna at 4am while he was drunk.

You're the guy busting aglandry's arse for an official LSU "link" that you know can't exist, because the school can't publicly comment on recruits. So, to follow your inference, there are no actual committable offers out there.
I disagree. I think LSU makes sincere offers to recruits. Some of these offers are accepted by the recruits and their commitments are honored by LSU.

Just because LSU doesn't comment doesn't mean they weren't offered and accepted. Anthony Johnson told NOLA that he talked with Miles and Wilson and committed to LSU. He also said he talked with Brick Haley. Therefore he is on LSU's committed list, unless he changes his mind. They are not a signee unless they sign the LOI. They can be committed without signing a LOI. LSU can't comment on commits but they can once the LOI is signed and they become a signee.

Save your breath. I have a feeling that Cash is one of those brilliant intellects that has never even considered the remote possibility that they might occasionally be mistaken about something.

Bring it down a notch here guys.
I think that Cash's point was that there is asymmetrical information fed to us. He's not saying that no one is committed, but if you want proof that kids without committable offers commit to schools, go find the video about the loser who faked his commitment to Cal.
