I have a little over half a tank of propane. Will that be enough to boil 2 sacks of crawfish?

What size tank? Also, are you REALLY willing to risk running out of gas or having a slow burner instead of a quick trip to fill you bottle up?

He probably does a tank exchange and doesnt want to spend 20 bucks for a new bottle if he doesnt need it. Sometimes hard to find a place like an Ace Hardware to fill it.

No. The OPD devices on tanks have the side effect of preventing the last 1/3 of a tank of gas to flow at full force. When boiling crawfish, the time it takes to get the water back to a rolling boil after the crawfish are added is critical. Faster is better, and you will need a tank that has more than 1/3 left to do it.

Get a second tank.

If the tank is really over half full you won't have a problem boiling 2 sacks.
