Season one is great. Season two is good. Season three is only ok. Season 4 back to great.

One of my favorite shows ever.
I liked season 2 as much as 1 and 4. I did find 3 the weakest, although still good.

Woa....easy there killer.
It is a good show but some of the acting is turrible and some of the side stories are as boring as watching paint dry.
I like me some Dexter but it would not be near my top ten all time.
And I like it a lot.

I stand by what I said.
I've seen it all and Dexter is one of the best shows ever. One of the most original concepts for a show and minus the annoying Rita..... epic, all time greatness.

I honestly liked 2 the best. The last couple episodes was just incredible television. As for the other seasons, 1 was very good and 3 was meh. Haven't seen 4 yet but heard a lot of great things about it. Can't wait to watch when it comes out on DVD.

I agree it is one of the best TV series of all time. I loved every season, but do agree with everyone elses order. I still thoroughly enjoyed season 3, but 1,2, and 4 were just ridiculous. If I had never seen it and just started watching, I would watch straight through taking a few sick days along the way.

First couple of episodes are slow but boy does it pick up.... Season 1,2 and 4 are GREAT... Season 3 is good

The wife and I watched the first episode this morning before the games started. We both liked the show but thought it was a little too slow. We are going to continue watching, but does it speed up a little?
What I mean by slow isn't the progress of the plot, but thought all the monologues slowed it down too much. We were really focused on what was going on and liked the show but when it was over we felt like we watched a 90 minute movie, not a 1 hour tv series. It kinda drained us. I don't think we will watch too many at once like we usually do with other series.

Where are you watching? DVDs or online? If online I would also like to start getting caught up considering all the rave reviews I've heard.
