Is this the best zombie/virus movie ever? I don't know if it's the best, but it's certainly up there. Really like this movie.

I thought it was great. It was extremely depressing and felt like a real zombie apocalypse as you were watching it. Really drew you in, and the kind of twist in the last 3rd of the movie was pretty disturbing.

Not as good as 28 days IMO, but it was still pretty good. Different twist, more like The Crazies in 28 days with the military aspect introduced.

I like Dawn of the Dead and the Resident Evils more, also grew up with the Resident Evil games so that is a lil biased. Also liked The Crazies. Though 28 Days/Weeks were still movies I liked.

I thought it was weak.

28 Days Later is great. The soundtrack is fricking money.

It's up there, but Dawn and Night of the Dead are tops for sure

I really enjoyed 28 Days, but I also thought the new Dawn of the Dead (Takes place in the shopping mall) was really well done.

I haven't seen many zombie apoc/virus movies, but I THOROUGHLY enjoyed this movie. The only thing I thought that could be changed to make it better would be the ending. The whole intense story and nihilistic world that was constructed, and the whole fate of the world being unknown to the characters as well as the audience, IMO, was hurt by the ending where they are given some hope for humanity. I thought the movie would've been better had they left the unknown ending and what happens up to each person individually.

28 Weeks Later wasn't as good. Maybe edgy isn't the right word, but I didn't think it was as 'edgy' as Days. It just seemed a little more 'vanilla' and 'soft' compared to Days. I enjoyed the framework for the story though. I liked the whole military controlled existence scenario, and if outbreak occurs, immediately contain it and if not then all must be destroyed. To me, that whole idea is intriguing to think about. However, I did enjoy the ending of Weeks MUCH, MUCH more.

Possibly setting up a 3rd installment? I can only hope.

I would recommend them to watch. They were fun to watch and fairly scary. As a matter of fact, Im going to pop 28 Days Later in my DVD player right now.

My two favorites, and it's not even close.

I pretty much agree with this completely.

When I saw 28 Days Later at the movie in high school, most of the people I saw it with hated it. I thought (and still think) it was one of the scariest movies I've ever seen. You never feel comfortable watching the movie at all, even when they are camping in the fields.

I liked 28 Weeks later, but for completely different reasons that 28 days later. It was more of a District 9 type political-horror movie.

I found it hard to believe that men (who are in the field and in theaters away from women for months at a time) would be so sex starved that they are on the verge of raping a 12 year old and a woman after only 28 days.

But it was good. 28 Weeks later was too much like a "stock" zombie movie and didn't do as much for me.

Whatever they do for the next piece, if they do one, I hope they can get back to the edginess that 28 Days was except with an ending that does the film justice. I also hope they wrap it up too with no hope for another. 3 movies is the most I can really stand in a series before they start getting redundant. "Saw" is a great example.

I think "state of mind" had little to do with length of time, and more to do with traumatic circumstances. At least you could explain it that way.

This. The movie was terrible once they got to the compound with the sex-starved men. It went from really great to really really shitty.

The Dawn of the Dead remake is the best - particularly the first scene. Incredible.

I kind of dug the change of events. Just when they think they are safe & among "their kind", they have to deal not only with the infected but also the uninfected. Kind of a huge "yeah you're screwed w/ no hope for salvation" feeling that went well w/ the whole movie.
