This is not good for him. The #4 WR spot was wide open for somebody to step up and grab this spring. Him missing the entire spring will not only put him behind Toliver and maybe even John Williams, but it gives him a lot less of an advantage over the incoming FR WRs as well. And with the studs who'll likely come in the '11 class, Taylor might never see significant time here.

I'm disappointed because I was excited to see which recievers were going to step up, but I really hate it for him, too.

sounds like a transfer is in his near future, I would imagine SLU would be the leader if it happens.

I always pull extra hard for any Tigers from the northshore. The ones that have had major playing time thru the years have been few and far between.

Let me just say that I am neither predicting or hoping for him to transfer by any means. I'm just pointing out that missing this particular spring is bad relative to the arc of his college career. It really is unfortunate for both LSU and him. It puts him behind the 8-ball. I hope he can overcome it.

hamstring injusry and focusing on athletics does not compute

something off field may have happened and this could be a way to brush it under the rug or give him a chance to stay out of trouble for a while and possibly come back later

Oh, I just reread my original post, and it appears out of context it might suggest that Miles doesn't expect him back ever. I only took it as he didn't expect him back this spring. I'm 99% sure that's what he was saying. I should have linked the article--can't remember where I read it.

you guys are ridiculous. most have probably never seen the kid play.

i was not aware of the academics, but this kid is one of the quickest receivers in and out of routes on the roster. i still expect him to be on the field this season. i can see john williams getting passed, but the top 4 are toliver, randle, sheppard, tolliver hands down now. if taylor returns, he'll be ahead of any incoming freshman in my opinion and could still compete for the 4 spot.

Miles said Taylor has a hamstring injury and is focusing on academics. "I don't know that we'll expect him back," Miles said.

Im w/ Birk on this one. Losing Taylor hurts, because he and Chris Tolliver had a chance to make a real splash in that No. 4 spot. This really opens the door for Chris T, though.

CT is a burner, hopefully he's finally put it all together. Would Boone be the most likely freshmen WR to crack the lineup if needed?

nice write up this morning $hea. Very informative and no mention of JL. win win.
