New Orleans Saints quarterback Drew Brees will be the featured guest at the 14th Annual Steak & Steak Dinner and Auction, benefitting the Boys & Girls Clubs of Springfield Missouri.

The dinner will be at 7 p.m. May 18 at the University Plaza Convention Center. Individual tickets: $150; sponsorship available, too.

The Steak & Steak Dinner and charity auction is the largest annual fundraising event for the Boys & Girls Clubs of Springfield and helps bridge the gap between the $25 fee club members pay each semester and the $550 it costs to provide programs to them.

In Brees' five years with the San Diego Chargers and 3 years with the New Orleans Saints, he has been elected to three Pro Bowls while being named 2004 Comeback player of the Year, 2006 All-Pro Team, 2006 Walter Payton NFL Man of the Year Award recipient, and 2008 NFL Offensive Player of the Year.

Boys & Girls Clubs of Springfield have more than 3,000 registered members each year.

For tickets or more information, call Julie at 417-862-9249 x115 or visit bgclubspringfield.org.
