What you say F&D board? Not looking to spend big money on first date. Something casual. Thoughts?

i like a place like chelsea's. good food. causal atmosphere. the service is slow, but that just give you two time to have a meal at a leisurely pace.

Chime's-good food that's not expensive. Solid draft beer selection.

Chimes isn't really a first date spot imo. Maybe if it's a group date

I'm not sure. Might not be as casual as I'd like. I have heard good things about it though.

in general, i think first dates should be very casual. taking someone to an expensive or overly romantic restaurant on the first date is usually a mistake. It will suggest you are trying to hard, put too much pressure on all parties, and, thus, make you both uptight. it isn't about being cheap, it is about the proper environment.

first dates should be casual and fun. you aren't proposing, you are getting to know each other. i'm not saying take her to a fast food restaurant or a generic chain. but places like chelsea's, chimes and parrains are probably more appropriate than an expensive restaurant.

I use to take this route, but I got a little wiser. Sucks dropping 150 bucks on a bad date. I'm not as rich as the rest of the OT, but do ok and figure these are places after a few weeks if things are going well. You can't start off feeding them the good stuff then they expect it

What Eddie said....Get em drunk, save a few bucks, and hope they make some bad decisions.
