Its not Archies fault when the Colts score, hopefully thay won't. How f#@&*$g cool would that be, shut em out and we score, lets say 40. Yea 40-love, I like it.

Archie should cuss at his son every time that he throws a completion. He should cheer when he gets sacked. He should scream, "KILL HIM" as they chase him out of the pocket.
...in Dick Head's alternate universe.

How are they traitors? The Saints are their third favorite team. Exactly, how are they traitors?
ANd Archie has gone on record time and time again that he pulls for Saints hard and only does not do so when they play for the Colts or Gaints. He is on record stating if the saints wiin, then "of course, the Colts loss will sting less". He is a loyal Saints fan.
Now how are Eli and Peyton traitors?

I didn't say he should root against his son, I sure would cheer for one of my kids. But....it will twist my gut just a little.
Look at the Indiana angle, Drew - Purdue, a lot of those people will have mixed feelings. A Superbowl full of strange irony.

well sure there is some internal conflict. They all admitted that. Yeah, it's pretty normal.

whenever the Colt score and they show the Manning's cheering. Yeah, yeah yeah, it's family and you are supposed to understand, but deep down you're going to be muttering "those traitorous pricks".
You got that right!!

If you think the Saints will let Archie Manning's pulling for his son in the SB effect their future dealings with Manning, one way or the other, you need to take some more cough medicine.

Oh the Mannings they can do no wrong.

I'll be pissed if or when the Colts score
Depending on when they score I wont be pissed normally. Unless its game-decision score, or were down 28 and such, then I'm pissed.
If it's a close game I'm a weird fan and just kinda nod and clap a little. I did it when the Cardinals made the long TD run. I was just like "Nice run". Now lets not let them do that again.

No, because if that was my son playing out there, I would be cheering for him too. I guess you will have to have kids to understand.
You don't even need kids to understand.
Let me put it to you this way. My dad went to highschool in new orleans, and he ended up moving to Baton Rouge several years later, which is where he started our family, and this is where I grew up. I was involved in a high school state championship against the high school that he went to.
All I have to say is that if my dad pulled for his old school over me, I would have disowned him.
The fact that Archie Manning is discussed this much on these boards is just showing the insecurities that people have with themselves.

Yes but it will piss me off whenever the Colts score and no matter who they show

I forget they are from New Orleans anyway. Seem more like Oxford, MS folks.

The Mannings are no longer relevent to New Orleans Saints football in my opinion. I hold no ill will to them. Certainly you would expect Archie to support his children and he had to move on. That being said, Archie no longer holds any place in the Saints organization (he gave up his radio gig to follow his son's careers, again perfectly understandable). Archie has long since been surpassed as the greatest player in Saints history and has now been surpassed as the greatest QB in Saints history. All of Archie's children left the state as soon as they got out of high school, and I don't know of anything they are doing to help the state/city of New Orleans. They may be, but if so, it would seem to be minimal. I think we will always have a special place in our hearts for Archie. But let's face it, the Mannings have long since moved on from the New Orleans Saints, and I think the New Orleans Saints have finally moved on from them.

I understand pulling for your son. I lost respect for Archie with all of that crying and manipulation he engaged in when Eli was drafted.

Doesn't Cooper still live in New Orleans?

If these two had a baby....
Would it look like:
I don't get to see Archie very often since I'm out of the NO area but, holy mackerel, he looked pretty rough in the Vikings (?) pregame show. And Garland Robinette sounds like he swallowed an ashtray full of lit butts. Angela did the right thing.
