ut me on your list! And while your at it, tell me why you think he did improve? I need a good laugh.

Tell me who else is there to put in? J lee? JJ wasn't that bad but hes not capable of taking a game over. He would have done fine if LSU had any sort of running game. He would have been able to run play actions and really only focus on reading one or two receivers. He's not set out to be a qb who sits in the pocket and read progressions.

jj didn't improve over the year

I would say that in the bowl game he was as inaccurate and hesitant to throw the ball as he has been all year. So I did not see that much improvement. The offense just got by all year.

Not to say he can't improve. Hopefully Jefferson or Lee will step up and improve over the offseason and come out confident next year.

Maybe the line suffered because of JJ's inability to run the offense that GC designed on a napkin.

Don't think that was the case. There was a reason that the rb's couldn't run worth a damn this season

Really tough to hold the bowl game against him considering the conditions. The QB on the other side is a pretty good one and he didn't look so hot either. I give him a pass there. It should have been a game to let the running game take over but our o-line was complete garbage.

If anyone other than Jefferson starts a game next year we're fricked. We better hope he can get better. Lee looked awful in the games he got in last year. One of which was against one of the worst defenses in all of college football. AND they had a ton of injuries. If Garrett or Shepard takes snaps full time that would mean our 3rd new QB in 3 years. No team wins like that.

you said it was jj fault that we couldn't run the ball. sorry if that makes u mad. look i just call it like i see it. jj didn't wow anybody but he sure as hell improved throughout the year. he was our only offense in lots of games. against miss state we ran for less than 50 yards and jj threrw for almost 250. tigertlee what do you expect a 19 yr old qb with no running game and horrible o line , to do? did you expect him to lead us to the sec championship? you obviously did cause we won 9 games with jj. he put up similar stats to flynn, but you don't wanna acknowledge that do you. if it had been j lee that put up jj numbers then everybody would be happy about next year.

4 is bad yes but 2 sacks with a shaky o line and no running game is not bad at all.

Soooo, checking into a fricking play that results in a TD because he recognized the coverage doesn't constitute as improving these days? I wonder what some of you frickers do in your everyday lives and if you are held to the same standards as 19yr old college football players?

the coaches helped him out so much to. He never had outlet receivers or tight ends to throw to short.

Jefferson had receivers wide open at times and was inaccurate with this throw, which has pretty much been the case all year. His accuracy and arm strength needs to be worked on and is a concern.

Both quarterbacks have shown promise at times and looked bad at others. They both have issues with leadership and decision making on the field. Both will need to work hard over the offseason and whomever comes out in the fall performing the best should start. It's as simple as that. Should be an open competition and whomever works the hardest and improves the most plays. Can't be any more fair to both of them.

boom, twice in one thread

Why does JJ's stats in 2009 have ANY relevancy to MF's 2007?
I read that a lot on here, who the F cares?

Noted. Now can you tell me how many dropped balls we had that were on the money? At least 6 or 7.

The things you listed here can only get better with EXPERIENCE. Jefferson and Lee give us the better chance. I really don't want to see Garrett have the reigns given to him because that means Miles is pulling out all the stops and our season is already fricked.

Ummmm, that is in no way, shape or form boom-worthy, especially by oneself.

LSU needs a running game bad for the qbs they have there now. The Qb's have shown that they can not take over a game.

Ill go along with this, however I thought this thread was about how JJ improved so much, not about CG getting to play.

Prob is I can not in words express to you how much I despise that excuse.
Fact is, its over-used, over-rated and just not relevant anymore.
