Day is a monster on his highligt film. He destroys people, physically. But he looks kind of skinny for a college OL. If he weighed 40 lbs more, he could have named his college. He will need to sit out a couple of years to put on some more weight, but once he does, he will be very good. LSU can get guys that are almost as good athletically, but don't have to wait 2 years to gain more weight.

Seriously, he is a good player. Miss State missed out by not getting him.

No way he sits more than a year at Tech. That's why he's going to Tech, to play early. White Roaf

So would Day. Tech stole 2 SEC players in Day and Burch.

Isn't he going to Tech because it's the best offer he had?

I don't think so. They slow played him too long is what I heard.

Tech did beat Moo State, so regardless maybe Tech is the best offer he had.

It's seems especially tough for West Monroe fans to admit some of their guys aren't quite as coveted as they expect them to be.

It's quite a phenomenon.

Croom also lost to Maine, beating the worst coach in modern SEC history is no accomplishment.

He didn't have the offers because of grades, not because of talent. I've been told by multiple sources that he dominated Jordan Allen every time they were matched up. Look at his film, he dominated every team he played. He'll be a monster in the WAC.

Well I saw three practices all year. And in those three practices I saw them go one-on-one twice.

Holy crap, I thought you at least some basis for your opinion other that you seeing them go against each other TWICE. TWICE? In practice? TWICE?

The radio/tv announcers for WM were saying they had to stop matching Day and Allen because Allen was getting too frustrated. Apparently Day was pushing him all over the place. I asked 2 of the coaches I've known for 15+ years and they confirmed this.

Watch the Thibodaux game I believe. When Thibodaux starts trying to start fights every play the last 5-6 minutes, they talk about it. They talk about how Dillon Day is just physically whipping the guy, pancaking him over and over. Then they start talking about the same thing happened in practice with Allen.

If this were so, then why wouldn't a major school offer the kid. The schools come to practice. They would see who had the talent and you know Shows would be pimping him out to the schools.

I'm not saying the kid sucked but even with grades/character issues, this kid would have gotten something better than Tech.

Edit to add: I hope this kid dominates and ends up making it to the NFL. It would help out the program to have that success story. However, the internet legend of this kid is a little out of control.
