This is the dumbest story I've ever heard.

Normal people aren't allowed to use NFL properties for profit. What is so difficult to understand?

Are you guys seriously that stupid? It makes me so angry that we have a US Senator and Rep wasting their fricking time on this non issue.

Wow. This can only help us in a close game in the 4th quarter, when Goodell et al, start calculating how much money they stand to make on "Super Bowl Champions" t-shirts. I realize the election is in November, but couldn't BOTH of these clowns wait until after the game to piss off the league office?

And, by the way, the NFL does not own "Who Dat." But if you're selling a black and gold shirt with "Who Dat" and a fleur de lis on it, it's a pretty clear case of copyright infirngement, and profiting from the team/league's success. Why isn't there any of this anti-corporation mentality when the big health care companies start putting on tea parties?

It's not "Who Dat" that is NFL property. It's using the Saints image and success to capitalize on profit. The NFL will always try to make money on this.

Obviously there were enough merchants selling Who Dat shirts that were Black and Gold and a fleur-de-lis that they said enough is enough. No one owns the word Saints either, but you put it on a black shirt with gold lettering and the NFL will want a cut. Plain and simple.

are you kidding me? This is the perfect kind of issue they can take a stance on to pander to their constituents. People eat that shite right up. Like the douche bag politicians who threaten to sue the NCAA when their team gets left out of the BCS.
