My family is relocating to Columbus (actually Reynoldsburg, a suburb on the east side of Columbus) in March and will be looking to connect with some LSU fans. Anybody on here living near Columbus?

We're in Cincinnati, just down the 71 from you.

Ignore the "Buck-nuts".

Get ready to be surrounded by everything Buckeyes and talk about Big 10 superiority.

But at least you wont be bombarded with Domer pride like here.

Have a drink at the Worthington Inn some winter night. Hell, have a couple.

don't know of any LSU fans up there, but that area of Ohio is nice. I had some family friends that lived in Granville for about 10 years back in the 80s and we would go there every summer. That have a polo field nearby, too.

Columbus in general is a pretty good city, and most of the suburbs are nice. I've heard that there are "two sides" to Reynoldsburg (I live 35 minutes away, in a NW suburb, R-burg's SE), a nice one and not so nice one (which still really isn't that bad, just relatively speaking). Don't know if that's true or not, but if it is, hopefully he's in the good one.

Whatever you do and no matter what the cost, make sure you have a heated garage for your car(s).

im going to be moving to columbus , ohio next year. If you need any suggestions as far as restaurants, ect i would be happy to help. The Ohio State university campus is gorgeous, definitely top 3 in the nation. The basketball arena, rec, the WHAC, Value City arena, the brand new library blows all other schools out of the water

My brother lives in German Village on the South Side. C-Bus is underrated.

I used to live in Worthington. Columbus has good school system and is a very wealthy city. I often wore my purple and gold amongst the sea of red. It is a very nice city.

Columbus is a nice place to live!! Columbus is newer and it has grown a lot and is still experiencing rapid development. Columbus is certainly underrated. Most people dont realize that Columbus is the largest city in Ohio. All the smart people that can move out of Cleveland, Cincinnati, Toledo, Akron and Dayton are doing just that and moving to CBus. Reynoldsburg isnt a bad place to live at all. Its a solid suburb with some really nice areas. As for LSU fans.....i dont know how many you are going to find. CBus is ALL Buckeyes!! There are good fans and bad fans just like any place you go. If you need any advice on anything just let me know!

Good stuff guys. Keep it coming. I've been connected with the LSU Alums in Baltimore and there's nothing in Columbus. Looks like we'll get one started!

Oh, i forgot to tell ya, you will blend in perfectly in Reynoldsburg. The Reynoldsburg High School Raiders use the LSU Purple and Gold colors. You wont have to get rid of those colors after all!! Its actually kind of weird that your family, being LSU fans, would relocate to Reynoldsburg of all places. They used to wear the same helmets setup but instead of LSU their helmet said RHS. Thats wild.

What angle were you looking at it from? Were you sober?

Ah, well...beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

I lived there for the past eight years(moved in August '09). It is a great city, but the winters were brutal. This guy(leedugas@aol.com) tried to start up some viewing parties in 2006, but I don't think he got much interest. I did see him in the Times Picayune when LSU played Ohio State in the Championship game so I would try to contact him about the Columbus Chapter.

Kinda bland, but nice place to raise a family. Worthington public schools are as good as public education gets in this country.
