should i switch from xbox 360 to ps3?

okay here's the deal...a friend of mine in NYC is willing to swap his PS3 for my xbox 360.I've had a Ps1,ps2 but not PS3.Way back in '06 I made the switch to xbox 360 due to PS3's absurd 600$ price tag.
He gets....
Xbox 360
Xbox 360 Controller
GH Guitar
HDD( with arcade games,music DLC for rock band..i'd say songs total would be 200)
Rock Band 2
Gears Of War 1
Dead Space
Left 4 Dead
Mirror's Edge
Mass Effect
Guitar Hero World Tour
In Return
I'd get
PS3 System with
Killzone 2
Fallout 3(my 360 disc broke;still haven't finished the game)

I had MW2 for 360 and my brother had it for PS3. We traded and I like PS3 alot better.

He already has an xbox but its broken.(i'm 100% sure he has Gears 2,COD ect.)Only use of his PS3 is to watch blu ray DVD's.His GF is getting him a blu ray player.I threw in those extra games to be fair.

ps3 and xbox both have decent exclusives, you have to judge which ones you care more about
free online and bluray are great for ps3
xbox has supposedly better online, but i can't vouge for that

Soooo....all a PS3 is good for is a decent Blu Ray player and a few exclusives....what's a 360 good for? A few exclusives?

You can use it as a heater in the winter and use the RROD as a cool robot eye light.

Personally I like the setup of PS3 online better. I played COD4 and leveled up to 40 on MW2 before switching to PS3 just to give you an idea of how much time I spent on the 360 before the switch.

i am a long time 360 player and recently got a PS3.
definitely would choose the PS3.
360 is good for the Halo series, which is over. and the Gears of war series, which is not over.

PS3 and 360 are pretty much the same so it's really just a matter of preference.

I haven't found too many differences in my online experience with both systems.
360 has faster download speeds and a ton more people with microphones.
PS3 is free
I've owned both systems and find them very similar. I switched to PS3 because I wanted a blu-ray player and gaming console.

I switched from 360 to PS3 and prefer the PS3 way more than I ever did the 360. I also had the PS1 and PS2 though. The whole media side of the PS3 blows the 360 away. I just dont get what is so special about XBox live to make me want to pay for it over the PS3 network either. You didnt say which PS3 though. How much HD? Slim or fat?? I have the 120 Slim
