I believe Chris Garrett will have a great spring and take over the number 2 job. Forcing J Lee out of town. Or is this just a dream of mine? lol

I went to last years spring game and Garrett in my opinion, easily looked like the best QB on the team. Yes even better than the beloved JJ.

What yall think?

Yea, but I don't think Garrett needs to be the #2 to send J Lee packing. I think J Lee will be packing no matter what after this past season. This year was his year to make up for his freshman year and he did not calm anyone's nerves.

Yeah hes massive. With a rocket arm, but unlike Lee or Jefferson, he can actually put touch on the short, medium and long throws. He's a stud and he's not getting looks because Miles starts experience over talent (when it comes to QB's)

+1

AND...
I don't care what the starting QB's name is as long as he is the best we have! If JJ is the best then so be it, if CG is the best he needs to start, frick if Zach lee, RS, or JL are the best then they need to be the one playing. I just want to see the QB actually lead the team and not try to blame everyone else for once...since we lost JR and MF it seems the QB has just been a place holder and not the real QB

hmm so we have a super secret qb to go with the super secret playbook?

in all seriousness i completely get what you are saying, IMO we need a qb who is a leader, a qb who leads can make up for being less talented than a qb who doesnt know how to be a leader

Garrett will not see the field unless those ahead of him on the depth chart are injured -- or Miles miraculously changes his philosophy of senioritis.

Garrett and his dad must be sick knowing that.

+1 Thank you

That is what i was saying, not that we have a super secret classified QB just that it feels like we are waiting for him to show up on the door steps and ask to play...like JJ, AH, and JL have just been filling an empty spot till we get someone with talent, confidence, and the ability to lead...some people think that that is RS, but i think he is going to be much better as a utility player not a fulltime QB

we need someone with confidence, someone who takes control, i dont really see this out of JJ, i saw it out of lee at first but the second he got rattled he crumbled up, maybe garrett has it. I can only hope he does

I wish he would become the number one! He can't be no worse than these other two!

which means he will see the field and probably wont give up the reigns when he does. Our current QBs are pick or sack machines. Shouldnt be too hard to better that. And if CG cant better them, then Miles philosophy doesnt matter in the long run.

But you're ignoring the fact that even with all of that, they are still #1 and #2, which is my point.

You can't just disregard senioritis when it has been happening since the day that Les Miles walked on this campus.

No I clearly quoted "are injured", which both have sat out because of.

He is getting good hype by lots of posters. We just need a QB who is smart, can read and adjust to a defensive scheme, and is allowed to do that. He's got the tools they say, so let's see em!
