Running in the PAC 10 from a spread offense will be right up his alley. A back up RB at Oregon this year got the start, after LeGarret Blount showed his pugilistic talents, and that guy got about 1000 yards. He will thrive there.
He went in to run the same plays that opposing teams saw on tape from previous games. With only 3 - 4 plays, easy to figure out what was going to happen.
Gibbs is a beast..... :dude:

The lead off batter is soooo important as it sets the tone in a game more often than not. As a senior in HS my kid had earned the lead off spot and produced with 42 RBIs, .407, 16 doubles, 1 HR, only 7 Ks in 108 at bats all with a 150 pound arse. He loved it and set the tone many, many times. He hit great pitching better than some crap thrown up there. If your lead off batter can get it going with the other teams best pitchers it gets the other batters minds straight. Watkins can do eeeeeeet!!!!
I played amateur baseball at Rickwood field in Birmingham, Alabama. The first time I hit batting practice there, I swear it felt like I should be genuflecting before and altar considering the baseball greats who stood in the very same place. So, I know having a recruit stand at home plate at Tiger Stadium should be an awesome experience as well considering.....I'm just sayin....

as soon as RS went in it was the WC. As soon as Trindon went in, it was the toss.

the message boards as the major influence that swayed Mike Davis and Justin Hunter's decisions to de-commit from LSU. I think they may have thought it over and see a better fit elsewhere. We all make decisions and think about the consequences and when given the opportunity to make a change, $hit happens.... There's more of them out there. Maybe we replace them with Trovon Reed and another fine WR/ATH. :geauxtigers:

No OC change we move up in top 75 based on JJ feeling better and knowing a bit more perhaps and Miles and Crowton trying something different on offense. With an OC change and say CG at QB with pro style stuff, top 50. IMHO of course.

He is getting good hype by lots of posters. We just need a QB who is smart, can read and adjust to a defensive scheme, and is allowed to do that. He's got the tools they say, so let's see em!
Stack like this: Beckwith before injuries, Highsmith as a senior, and Shep probably as a senior has a chance to be better than both. IMHO that is.
The new pasing game coordinator (new OC once Crowton takes the La Tech or East Carolina job) will determine if Chris Garrett or one of the new guys gets the nod over JJ. JJ can be much better but he has taken some hellacious hits in the 2 yrs he has played and can't help but expect more as poorly as the OL blocked. His game is the quick short outlet pass or the play action and throwing on the run. we've all seen it, why can't the coaches eh?

Sit back and think about how we won 9 games and almost 2 more with an offense at 112th in the nation. freakin unbelievable really!

Two of my kids each have a #8. The youngest wants a #30 since he really like Josh Jasper. CJ began kicking a few months ago and is nuts over kicking. He believes Josh Jasper is such a cool kicker not to mention very good as well.
arrakis.....dats uh thirteetwo
My kids and I met Chad at the Met here in Hoover after an SEC tourney game. He signed 2 baseballs for us and we also picked up 2 of his 400ft+ practice HRs in RF. The boys admired his tats and both commented on the size of his forearms. But, what they remember most, is how nice he was and how softly he spoke to them. They loved watching him play both sports. His football hits are legendary and the CWS pitching outing he had was awesome. Enough said!
OK, durin gthe Penn State game did someone tell Crowton the field was pretty sloppy, probably the worse conditions we have ever seen on a football field surface? Maybe off tackle or up middle were not working? Did someone tell Crowton that he had 3 WRs that were like real tall compared to PS CBs and maybe he could toss something up there for them to go up and get? Did someone tell Crowton that every team we play throws passes to backs out of the backfield for good yardage and we should try it? Did someone.....reverse toss? Did someone....screen pass? Did someone.....tight end? Did someone.....shite, I think you see what Isee. :violin:
Lithium, that pic you post there makes one want to do the knuckle chuckle below the buckle. Darn sweet looking babes..........
