As a Tiger fan from birth (and named after Mike III) I have to make a point here... All of you "Negatigers" that want to tear apart the coaching staff we need to realize a blaring fact. I was at LSU from '91 to '95. Yeah. 2-9 and 3-8 was common. That said - Miles has continued to recruit and has us in line for another run. Would you want to be TN or AUB for that matter? We all forget how it "could" be and demand undefeated seasons. Things WILL NOT BE PERFECT EVERY SEASON. Just ask USC. They are ecstatic about Kiffin. I can't wait to see the meltdown...

Yes - there are aspects of the last 2 years that need to improve but I see a young team that is going to break out. Yes- Crowton needs to utilize the talent - but it IS there. We came close all year but it just didn't happen. Get over it.

The bottome line is - It's a hell of a lot better to have a committed Miles than any other "jump ship" a-hole that could do serious long-term damage to the program.

Let's rally and rack another top 5 class and take Saban's arse down. Everything fluctuates and it is time for these past 2 classes to step in and show what they have.

Geaux Freakin' Tigers!

Many of us are "Tiger Fans from birth". The first thing I asked the doctor when I arrived from the womb was if he had a lortab on him and if Chollie Mac would ever beat Alabama again.

That said, we are allowed to voice our displeasure and yes, I often refer to the dark ages of '89-'94 as a means of getting people to stop being nitwits, but still, this season was UNSATISFACTORY. It wasn't enjoyable and I cannot sugar coat it or just be grateful that we weren't a Hallman-like team. Truth is, we were much closer to a Hallman/DiNardo team than we have ever been and that includes last season. This season was the least enjoyable for me since 2002.

WOW......So you're saying that as you wouldn't care if we had Curly Hallman as a coach if he was a loyal guy? I guess you don't pay for season tickets...

Close don't mean shite....you forget we were close to losing to Mississippi St. and Louisiana Tech.

Our coaching staff didn't outcoach one single opponent this year....

Yes Mike III? You have 12 post and then you make false statements, for what reasons? Probably immaturity, lack of knowledge, etc.
In 1991 LSU was 5-6 overall 3-4 SEC
92 " " 2-9 " 1-7 " ***
93 " " 5-6 " 3-5 "
94 " " 4-7 " 3-5 "
95 " " 7-4 " 5-3 "WON Indy Bowl
In 1992 Tigers lost to 4 teams Ranked in the top 23 in the Nation. #3 Alabama, #23 Florida, #7 Tennessee and #7 Tex. A&M at the time they played these teams. They also beat a #22 Miss ST team that same season.
My point is, what in the hell is your point?
These last two seasons LSU is barely beating teams with much less talent and records combined. And don't give me and Schiltz about being a negatiger when I bleed purple and gold and have been since I was a child before you were even a thought where you came from.

negatigers......i prefer ranturds.

ranturd - a negative tiger fan who has a hard on for saban. a negative miles fan who accurately predicted the demise of lsu football in 2005. a negative gc fan who got over the n.c. calls when the competition got better and games closer. a negative player critic when envy of a successful kid turns their bile green. a nacissistic socio-path who cannot support another (doesn't give a shite about anyone else.)

yada, yada, yada....

Actually it's just the opposite with the "NegaTigers". They all they can think of, as far as LSU is concerned.

Never mind that Saban and Bama "could have" lost to Tenn. or even LSU this year. But they didn't.

Never mind that Fla. "could have" lost to Arky. But they didn't.

Never mind that Texas "could have" lost to Nebraska. But they didn't.

All they see is that LSU "could have" lost to Miss. St. Never mind that we didn't.

LSU "could have" lost to Arky. But we didn't.

Any one of us "could have" been born in Haiti. But we weren't.

These "could have" people live in as much of a fairy tale world as Cinderella or Snow White.

Right on - so we have a cross between Phil Fulmer and Charlie Mac.
We will be above average with great recruiting. We will never dominate like we could have if Saban had remained at LSU.
However, we will not end up like 2nd in the state behind Tulane which actually happened in our lifetimes.
Occasionally, we may go to Atlanta.
Forget the BCSNC. A runner up SEC BCS bowl may happen once or twice a decade.
Is that horrible? NO.

It's not a matter of "jumping ship" to say there is a major problem with coaches who have the talent on the team, but can't seem to figure out what to do with it -- coaches who come into games that should be LSU blowouts from the opening kick that wind up being a comedy of errors, leaving the fan base shaking their heads wondering where all the mistakes, miscues, lack of intensity, and other follies that have been the hallmark of LSU either on Defense or Offense (pick a year) these last two years are coming from. Yes, the team is young, but other football programs put up young teams all the time; what I have not seen is our young teams progress as the season progresses. It seems like if there's a problem, it MUST wait until the season is ended to be dealt with under the CLM system. Really?

I would love to hear some real answers to the following serious questions:

What good is having talent if your coaches aren't coaching it up?

What good is talent if your coaches aren't devising schemes that match the ability?

What good is talent if your coaches tolerate sloppy play, dropped passes, bonehead penalties, etc?

What good is talent if your coaches don't know what time it is in the game and aren't managing the clock?
