They think it's a done deal, I'm thinking it's more like a done deal from a rantard but just giving yall a heads up.

I think those guys are full of shite, this seems way too quick to be true.

It would be an errand of mercy.

exactly.
I think it is just a PC to let everyone know he is going to remain at Texas.

they would have had to draw up the contract, send it to Will and his lawyer, have his lawyer go over it with Will, and Will accept it all within the what, last 4 1/2 hours? you're probably right. a PC this soon is most likely him refuting the chance of him leaving.

It is a new "modern art" monstrosity that was added to campus this year.
It's an eyesore and has been ripped in the school paper and on Facebook.
My guess is since one out of place piece of junk is leaving, maybe they felt the need to get rid of the other?

If true....Vols win, Vols win.
And I hope it isn't true.

How quick did the Kiffin deal go down? It is quick but it isn't out of the realm of possibility.

Too close to signing day for UT not to have a plan and close to signing someone. All of this took place behind closed doors and people knew prior to yesterday. UT has their sites on someone and I would bet is in final negotiations. I think that thye could announce no later than Friday.

quote:no. they'd just have to get some general numbers down and he'd accept a tentative offer. All the specifics would be worked out later. It really doesn't take that long

yeah any coaching contract is form-based, and any agent/AD worth his weight has many forms to use
specific clauses may need to be added, but the general contract is the same. 10 pages or less, with 6-8 of that being form language

quote:exactly. I can totally see a press conference being delayed because the agent's secretary is stuck on page 2 writing up the contract from scratch
