I think the adjustment from LA to Seattle to Baton Rouge would be a tough one.

it's something that i don't see other AD's do...or at least AD's with discontent fanbases. it was pretty odd that he came out with the letter/vote, which obviously means that the athletic office has been bombarded with angry booster phone calls.

angry fans

I knew he would have to respond to all the negative feedback in some fasion. I thought it would be more of a lets focus on supporting basketball and puming up the fans for baseball. This letter took the tone of letting the fans know that the coaches have been told to get their asses in gear, or start refreshing the resumes.

I'm getting the gist of it from other posts, but I'd like to read it myself.

I sort of agree, and I'm very surprised that he said those things. It seems sort of amateurish to me. If the point is to send a message to Miles, he can do that far more explicitly in person, and in private. If the point is to tell the fans that the administration has high expectations for football, there is a way to do it far more generically than he did. There is no way I would have written something like that. Nothing good can come of publicly shaming the coaches. Either he is your man and you support him 100%, or he's not and you move on. This public spanking is ill-advised.
