27-17 Tigers
I think Shep is finally introduced on a national stage and excels (similar to Joe McKnight at the Rose Bowl a couple of years ago).

This game could very well be a carbon copy of the UGA game outcome earlier this season.
Penn State's DL is fantastic and will be stacked at the line, daring Jefferson to throw. If this plan works making JJ nervous, look for the LB's to have a career day with some int's and a sack or two. However, if Jefferson has even an average game, the Penn State backfield will be taken to task and then some. I also am curious what Penn State's special teams unit will do on kickoff and punt returns. Good field postion is favorable on that side of the coin as the plan will be most likely to keep the ball away from ol' number 8. Penn State's offense is comparable to LSU's. At times, Penn State can score score score and score, while other times, Clark panics and bad things happen. Sound familiar Tiger Fans? Key to the game for LSU is for Jefferson to be cool hand Luke out there as well as the OL not being overmatched too much by a great PSU DL.
Overall, I don't see a blowout here but you will see one of the better bowl games even though both of these teams have the talent but have not used it to their fullest.
Bayou Bengals 24
State College Cats 21
