Have we learned anything about him since his commitment? Nobody knew anything at the time. Thoughts?

A lot of questions as to why he was offered with so many DTs next year that are better. Honestly don't see him ever playing at DT for LSU with the guys already there and the guys coming in next year. Maybe they'll move him to another position.

Dexter Blackmon is an impressive physically looking prospect. He is an athletic 6-foot-3, 265-pounder who moves very well for his size. The LSU commitment is quick off the ball, but will need some time in LSU's strength and conditioning program before ready for the weekly battles in the SEC. He needs to improve his backside pursuit and taking on blockers when the ball is run to his side. He certainly has the tools to excel at the next level. -- Andrew Bone

Williford and this dude are going to be wedge blocking machines on ST. I predict a school record of 4 ST TDs in one game with these road pavers coming in.

From what I have heard from a friend in Alabama who say him play twice, is that he is incredibly athletic and will be a top tier SEC player. The coaches saw something in him to offer on the spot like they did.

We haven't seen him play - the coaches have done so.

The coaches know about the paucity of scholarships and still elected to give one to Blackmon. Given their backgrounds (knowing more football than the rant put together) and the resources available to them to evaluate the prospects, why is it so difficult to give them the benefit of doubt regarding an unknown recruit?

No coach is infallible but given the track record of getting good recruits, why the almost hostile treatment of this recruitment?

Because they have never offered an unknown, questionable recruit that turned out to be a waste right. Miles is pretty much infalable because he knows more football than the rant.

I'll duck after I say this: Im not sold on our strength & conditioning program. I just dont see the strength in our team that everyone raves about. That said, the players need to be accountable as well.

I post the last line again for your benefit -
No coach is infallible but given the track record of getting good recruits, why the almost hostile treatment of this recruitment?

On an unrelated note - It might be close to an indisputable fact that Les Miles would know more football than the rant (put together) and it would not even be close.
