1. Took Hawaii from a winless team to a consistent 7-8 win team over a nine-year period, including a BCS game invite. Keep in mind this is with the shittiest facilities known to man.

2. Takes SMU, who hasn't been to a Bowl game in 25 years, to an 8-5 season with a very impressive performance against Nevada in the Hawaii Bowl. I'd be willing to bet SMU contends for the C-USA title most years for as long as June Jones is there.

Have to give credit where credit is due

SMU could be a sleeping giant. Plenty of talent to go around in the Dallas metroplex alone

Oh yeah...

And it deserves mentioning that the single greatest architect of any program in history is clearly and obviously Howard Schnellenberger.

If he can build FAU into, say....another South Florida....

That would certainly cement his legacy.

Are you kidding? They have outstanding facilities - Waikiki Beach, Maui in general, the Big Island surf, the list goes on and on. Gomer Pyle could recruit players to live in Hawaii for 4-5 years, who needs a fricking weight room when the surf's up?

That said, June Jones really is good at bringing programs back from the dead.
