So an LSU student just called Cowherd's show...

They are talking about McKnight/Range Roover deal..
A guy calls up and says he is an LSU student and talks about how Jamarcus drove an Escalade while in school...
Says it cost 46K...I guess he was there when it was bought for him..

I thought Jamarcus drove an older model Tahoe or something like that? Maybe a suburban? I do know in 1997 Kevin Faulk had a maroon Escalade because I saw him and his 700 kids getting out of it at the old Calendar's on Highland Rd.

I remember seeing Russell get out of a pretty average looking, older model sedan on a Sunday morning when we were having lunch at serrano's just off campus.

I think Russell drove a Tahoe...however, Corey Webster drove a brand new Cadillac EXT while he was in school

Booger drove a Mazda pick up truck while at LSU. He was a runner for my father in College. It was funny as hell to see him squeeze into that thing.

If you were a bank and had an athlete likle them come up to you to ask for a car loan, would you say no? You know they are making millions in 1 year... It doesnt mean LSU bought it for them

Just because a collegiate athlete drives a nice vehicle doesn't mean a booster is 'giving them money'. Not every single athlete comes from a poverty stricken home like some like to thank. Like many other normal students who recieve scholarships, their parents could've gotten it for them as a congratulations gift.

I was an athlete and lived in Broussard Hall my freshman year with all the football players... they had pretty good rides.
The best example I have was after Rondell Mealy torched the Indy bowl with 200+ yards, he came back to school with a new pimped out explorer.
Somehow they get away with it.

Also...Brandon Bass drives a beat up Chevy truck today even as a pro. He takes yoga by Georges on Perkins.

He only had that truck for about a year or so. I used to have to drive him to and pick him up from his off campus job until he was given that old red truck.

Every SEC school is doing something against the rules......most just know how to play the game...LSU is not clean just like the rest of the SEC or most NCAA schools....
