Why do people care so much?

frick even if he wrote the tweet, so he doesn't like it at LSU. Plenty of athletes probably wished they had gone to a different school. Just move on people.

A college kid over a thousand miles from home being homesick....WOW, what intriguing story. Rantards need to start minding their own business

i dont think the big problem is that he said it

i think the big problem is that it was covered by a national media outlet (prematurely). Universities and their athletic departments are all about image

I was about to say, wouldn't it be standard operating procedure for a "journalistic" organization to at least call the person in question to get his version? Or heck, maybe check practice schedules? Then you reminded me about:

I think most people just don't want that kind of stuff out there for other coaches to use against LSU. Hell, they have enough ammunition with the piss poor offensive showing and the bonehead Ole Miss game. Hell, just look at this kid. He came all the way from Michigan, was switched to OL when he was one of the best DT's in the country. Sure, he got to start, which I'm sure he just wanted to see the field. But he sacrificed alot, and thought the results would be different.

this just isnt something somebody would make up. Why would anybody do that? He has expressed being homesick before, and now this. He made a mistake by making his feelings public and then when he realized the shite storm that was brewing he made up the default lame excuse of "somebody has my password." Im not buying it, anybody with common sense that isnt completely blind to the world isnt buying it either. Since it made ESPN the damage is done, as far to the extent of the damage obviously it would be on the recruiting front, but I dont see this remotely swinging anybody. We never get recruits that far north, and we only have 1 (Ware from Ohio) currently committed from up there. The bad press sucks but it will be forgotten in a month.

this should be no more or no less believable than the 1st tweet

if you believed the 1st tweet, why not the 2nd?

So, you're saying it was NOT made while Barksdale was at practice? Please share.

Heck, I know personally of a divorce situation where one party hacked the other's facebook account and posted pretending to be them.

Somebody had a whole false facebook account for Sheperd. Anything is possible. Getting someones password and using their account is a piece of cake. People do it all the time.

If this isn't real, then there needs to be more than a tweet from Barksdale claiming that someone hacked his account whilst at practice. It's such a weak rebuttal.

Sorry if the truth is such a let-down. A tweet started this whole thing, but a tweet isn't enough to end it?

I'd blame Bama but i don't think they've mastered the computer quite yet.
