I say yes, and not out of punishment. He shouldn't be punished because you can't change whats in a man's heart and thats not his fault that he feels like that. But I wouldn't be able to play him either because I would always question his committment and dedication to the team and school given his comments.

Keep it clean, this a legit question. just state your opinions without attacking him.

If true yes. If he did say it I would like to hear his reasons.

I think he should seriously consider transfering or going pro , we don't need cancers like this on the team

You can't understand why a kid who has rarely been away from home is now wishing he wasn't so far away for Christmas?

Seriously?

id say yea id bench him. if he just said he missed home fine but when you call being at LSU the biggest mistake of your life then how can you be trusted to give 100 percent.

wishing you were home for christmas is not the same as saying you made the biggest mistake of your life by coming to LSU.

I hope that this thread doesn't get whacked, because its a legit question to be asked. lets keep it clean guys, no attacking the kid personally.

miles should let him go home, and tell him not to come back to the team.

I think he went a little further than pining for his home town.

Well, it should be considered. Miles and Co. should get to the bottom of this. I think Mr. Barksdale has some explaining to do if he wants to play.

I'm sure Coach Stud is on it.

I totally understand this. However, once he posted it on a public forum, he should be ready to deal with the consequences.

He should be benched for his play on the field. Allowing rushers from ULL to run by him. Playing with no power or fire at all in the running game.

Anyone who bothers to watch OL play knows he's been awful this season.

this has nothing to do with that and yes I fully understand. But he is a JR. Not like this is something that hasn't happened before. Plus he knew when he signed at LSU that he wouldn't be home for alot of holidays so them dogs don't bark. This is all about him saying being a Tiger was the biggest mistake of his life.

there's no way anyone here can honestly give a fair answer

alot has to do with how he deals with it when he and miles talk about it, how resentful he is and how willing he is to make up for it

i think you tell the kid you don't know if he's going to start or even play

you let him work with the 2nd team for the next 2+ weeks

see how he reacts, then make a decision

i would think sitting him out for a quarter seems fair (to punish the actions) if he sems truly remorseful and tried to fix the problem and improve his attitude
