athletes of the decade were a golfer and someone who rides a bike? Not exactly the two most athletic events IMHO.

riding a bike up a side of a mountain, going over 100 miles a day for a month is about as athletic as it gets

When you can stripe it down the fairway consistently, shoot below 70 in pga tour events consistently, and when you can ride a bike over 250 miles in a matter of days, then you come back and say its not athletic events. Just because you arent running or jumping doesn't mean it doesnt take athletic ability.

5 of the top 6 are not from the four "major" sports. and no, i have no problem with this. Lance should have been #1 though, he was athlete of the year 5 or 6 times

Your an idiot if you dont' think riding a bike up mountains and hundreds of miles in a matter of days is athletic.

when you can do better then them and accomplish something significant, maybe you can be named athlete of the decade. 2010 is around the corner, start training and let me know how that goes for you.

Being in great shape is a little different than doing something athletic.

Thanks, just when you are calling someone an idiot, you should try and show that you are not one. You should have said you meant to use 'your' instead of 'you're' as a joke and not that you didn't know any better.
